Only seeing the highlights. And putting the emotion aside. But Salah with a poor miss from Chiesa pass, then a shocking pass to Robertson when was 3 on 1, does show the form he’s in this season.
He put a lot of effort in, and that's mostly what I ask of any player - but yeah, he's just not firing like he used to.
Got an assist for the second though, so the numbers keep building.

Final touches were off, but he was excellent tbh. Was clearly over eager to find a teammate, trying to get across his respect for the team maybe? Don’t know - but he seemed to have a lot of joy in this system, half the trouble has been he isn’t involved

<peacedove>Good win against Brighton, we are close to festive period and games are coming within short period of time. Liverpool will be above Tottenham in the league when this game is played. Tottenham have lost to Forest which will certainly make the game a very high tempo.
Liverpool needs to win this game to send a message to those teams above them in the league, "we are coming to get you"
Liverpool won here last season and they are capable of winning here this season:
Hugo Ekitike is currently being assessed by Liverpool, Joe Gomez is unlikely to play in this game. Domininik Szoboszlai is also being assessed by Liverpool, Cody Gakpo
is also being assessed. . Referee is yet to be appointed for this game.
Tottenham also have their injury problems including that of Dominic Solanke.

Referee: John Brooks. Assistants: Simon Bennett, James Mainwaring. Fourth official: Anthony Taylor. VAR: Stuart Attwell. Assistant VAR: Adam Nunn.

Liverpool have unhappy memories of a particular Premier League referee, whom they will meet again in their clash with Tottenham this weekend.

We would be better off with Elkie Brooks......

CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTED.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

  • Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 17:30
It is normally a good game when these two sides meet but, going into it this time, I suppose both sets of supporters are unsure how their team will perform.

At Tottenham, poor Thomas Frank is having a tough time of it.

He was so furious after their defeat at Nottingham Forest that he said it feels like there is a hurricane inside him.

I can understand why he is so angry, because Spurs were so limp and offered so little in that game.

If you look at where they are in the table, 11th, then they are doing all right but it is their performances that are lacking something. They have never really found any fluency under Frank.

They did win their past two home games and Frank can cling on to that but, the way Spurs fans are, they are probably thinking: 'It was only against Brentford and Slavia Prague.'

Winning this game would be far more of a statement.

Even though Mohamed Salah has left for Afcon, there are still questions over Liverpool too.

Brighton had their moments last week and it was not entirely comfortable for Arne Slot's side, although I thought Hugo Ekitike was excellent.

Liverpool could have another problem at right-back because Joe Gomez came off injured in that game. Dominik Szoboszlai has been their best player, in midfield, so if he recovers from the knock he picked up against the Seagulls but has to slot back in there, it would be a bit of a blow.

I certainly don't trust Spurs to turn up, but I don't think you can fully trust Liverpool again either, especially away from home in the Premier League.

Because of all of that, I can't back either of them to win it.

Sutton's prediction: 1-1

Sampa the Great's prediction: Both teams are under a bit of pressure for a win. 1-3

Of Arne Slot's last 17 wins away from home at Liverpool, 12 of those have seen under 3.5 goals too. That is a relevant trend when assessing the best way to back a pro-Liverpool angle in this fixture.

We all know about Tottenham's issues in forward areas and them being able to create quality chances. All their key attacking metrics have the look of a team that should be battling relegation: 9.6 shots per game, 3.3 shots on target per game, 1.0 expected goals per 90 and 1.8 big chances created per game. It's an underlying attacking process which is the fourth-worst in the Premier League. Another blank may follow here.

You can get 21/10 with Sky Bet on Liverpool to win and under 3.5 goals - a nice boost on the Evens for a Liverpool win.

SCORE PREDICTION: 0-2
