i saw him play for the USA in the 2009 Confederation cup and 2010 World cup and couldn't understand why he wasn't playing for Milan looked like really solid denfender and one of USA best players. I hope he's still got it. Good signing

Wow, tough crowd. Centre back pairings that work are the holy grail for good coaches. Hill and Dunne conceded 2 goals in the 5 matches they were paired together. And of course both have contributed to every game in a club record run of clean sheets. I'm not saying either of them are perfect but if we can get anywhere near matching those stats with any other pairing I will be delighted. Lest we forget, the 'problems' have been at the other end - not scoring enough.
 
Its more to do with the fact at their age they won't last the season playing two games a week.

No point running them into the ground, one will get injured and then we will be in trouble if the other gets injured or gets a suspension.

Would you play Johnson every game?
