OGUCHI ONYEWU'S FIRST EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
If he has played 68 times for the USA, he can't be bad, especially at Championship level. We also really need cover for our old-uns. In Harry we trust.
" Five of the best teammate fisticuffs Zlatan Ibrahimovic v Oguchi Onyewu Zlatan's superb autobiography 'I am Zlatan' was so revealing that many of its stories barely even registered amid the Guardiola furore and his comments about Messi. Among the lesser revelations, the sort which would have been headline-making in any other footballers' book, was his fight to the death with American defender Oguchi 'the gooch' Onyewu while at Milan. Ibrahimovic revealed that the pair "wanted to destroy each other" in the fight, which began after the mild-mannered Swede had lunged in on Onyewu during a training session. "I'm not talking about a small row," Ibrahimovic wrote. "It was like life and death." Well, nobody died, but only after they were separated did Zlatan discover that he'd had one of his ribs broken." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/football-fights-joey-barton-zlatan-2305126 A few more former/present R's there too
Nice posting lads! I know nothing about him so cant complain, Ive asked on the flyers forum about him. He does seem the right type if he offered to play for free coming back from an injury.
Oguchialu Chijioke "Oguchi" Onyewu, also known as "Gooch". Seems like a decent fella: "Onyewu missed all the 2009–10 season – appearing in only one Champions League match – due a knee injury suffered while on national team duty. At the end of the season, on May 17, 2010, it was announced that Onyewu's contract with Milan was extended by one season, keeping him under contract with the club until the end of the 2012–13 season; upon Onyewu's request, the one-year extension included no salary"
I know we need cover but he will need to be pretty good to start in front Clint Hill if that's to be the case.
I think Hill will be rested soon and it will be up to OO to keep the place. We shouldnt play Hill and Dunne together is possible.
Totally Agree with that Flyer. Their lack of pace meant they defended so deep on Sat that lead to the second goal.
