Christ, we've got a good collection of great entries now.

If you install the Firebug addon for Firefox you can test your banner in place to see if/how you need to rearrange etc. Helps if you're able to fiddle with different screen resolutions too though, I've been using 1280width as minimum seeing as it's what the current banner maker did (rule of thumb is usually even lower - 1024 but anybody with that screen resolution in 2011 is usually busy collecting their pension or complaining about kids on their lawn anyway so the hell with that).

Should do, never used it. All you need to do is search the CSS for the current banner and change the source for a link to your own.

Nah, I just had a look at it and it looks pretty messy for me. Prefer to have the full screen up to be honest.

Just realised, I can use my banner as a sig so it doesn't go to waste if the resolutions are messed up.

with only fulham (saying that an empty stadium doesn't look good)spuds and Swansea[NSFW]

Remember to take into consideration the big slab of translucent white that will cover most of your banners. Showing them plain, without that in front, is very different to how they'll look in use.

Ah true, never even considered that, useful. I usually only type at half time anyway - the rest of the time I'm sat spilling beer all over my nufc shirts while hurling abuse at the screen.

I think maybe if it was an action shot of Taylor rather than a posed one, I'd definitely put him ahead of Ben Arfa in terms of status at the club, he's been a pretty solid performer for a while and clearly cares about the club (not saying HBA won't in time).

I think maybe if it was an action shot of Taylor rather than a posed one, I'd definitely put him ahead of Ben Arfa in terms of status at the club, he's been a pretty solid performer for a while and clearly cares about the club (not saying HBA won't in time).
