Wow - just wow. Pretty much the perfect away performance. Every single player delivered. Standouts for me were: Suarez, Coutinho, Henderson, Allen, Sterling and Sakho.

The passing, movement, pressing - top notch. This is BR's vision for LFC. This is how he wants to play. Total football.

Also, am I allowed to say 'look at how well we played without Gerrard' or is it too soon? ;)

Dave's fingers are about to be on fire with the retort he is about to give you!!! <laugh>

Say it now while Dave is in a good mood <laugh>

city will win it. not so sure about second as i was cos chelsea will need to improve.

As for us? we have a lot of work to do still. its just 3 points and so we need to keep working and improving towards a goal. if we can hand in a dire performance v hull and be outworked by a former spud in huddlestone then come here and trash a poor spurs outfit... well both circumstance and consistency must be discussed.

LFC should collectively enjoy it then like carragher said.... monday morning... back to business and focus on the next hard work. we must earn it v cardiff. I'll back our quality in coutinho and suarez anyway once the team build the platform for that talent to make the difference

Haha I'm dreading his response!

But in all seriousness, it was great to see quality, determination, hard work for the full 90 mins. Spurs didn't have a single shot on target I believe and we really restricted their supply.

Great to see the confidence in Sterling and Allen.

You have every right to say we played well without Gerrard because its the truth. I also hope that we continue to play as well whilst he is injured. Then, for the first time in many years, Liverpool truly have midfield options.

Absolutely Dave - as you say, I do hope we can continue to perform like this.

On a side note - I loved the reaction to Flanno's goal. Everyone rushed to him to celebrate. Great to see <ok>

Lets not go there just yet lads.

He's here now and lets see what we can do.

Exactly. I'd be devastated if we didn't get more than what the Spuds got for bale though, Suarez is way better than bale

Undoubtedly. Even last season.
The whole Bale media circus was Real's attempt to justify the ridiculous amount of money they'd spent on him.
However, it's not that simple. Just because Player A is better than Player B doesn't mean you'll get more for him.

Today I was particularly impressed with how quickly we pressed them and harrried around their players as soon as we lost possession, we were all over them. But boy, Spurs are a bloody slow team, they telegraph every pass! But we slice through their defence like a knife through hot butter. Role on next week! And Suarez' form along with the other will surely see us steamroll Cardiff

Not that I want to bash him because he's not in the team but I think you're more likely to get that from Henderson/Allen/Lucas than you are with Gerrard. It seems Henderson really stepped up to the plate in his absence and led from the front. He chased everything and was very box to box.

No of course not, Suarez' antics on the pitch will no doubt have an affect on his price tag, if he keeps his head down then it may help us in the future.

Watching that 2nd goal again.

The pass from Sterling to Coutinho was inch perfect and the first time lay off from Coutinho to Henderson was awesome as well. Shame Henderson couldn't finish first time as would have been a sweet move.

How Sakho missed that header I'll never know though <doh>

And Suarez missing that chance too, should have hit it with his left!

said that at the time to guys I was watching it with but then followed that by saying, when you've scored 16 goals in 10 games, it's hard to criticise him too much <laugh>
