If they'd only received a bid from Spurs TODAY... which is 'apparently' their only bid from England... then why has Gervinho already come out and stated he's coming to England and is choosing between clubs if no one had bid anyway? I mean, there's no logic?

He may have agreed terms but the clubs are yet to make a concrete offer to the club.

I just dont understand why CWARR is so 100% confident that hes still coming, he seems absolutely certain.
Surely if he was wrong he would have shut his mouth by now? Not coming out with:

Haha that guy will be in for some serious stick if he's wrong. I don't want to be in his shoes if it all falls through
I personally think he is a product of our over active collective imaginations and doesn't exist. We just created him to stave off boredom during the football wilderness that is known as 'June'.
No he's banned, Gervinho still at Lille but likely to go to Arsenal and Tash's article are no different to usual just not as many.
According to Talkshite he's off to Arsenal but Lille's director has said they the only bid that they've had for Gervinho was from Spurs yesterday which got turned down, so its all a bit confusing atm
Thinking more about it, I would prefer Nzog back than Gervinho, not just because he's proven in the PL. But because he wont miss the next two Januarys, which is an important time of year in the league. If we do get Ba, we'd be missing some key players. So I think Pardew may also think this and therefore is reluctant to bid like the Lille chairman is saying. Would defs go for NZog and it sounds like he wants to come too!

Can't see us getting both Gervinho and N'Zogbia, will more than likely get one which will be Charlie Boy.
