Think sarr and Kieran Tierney would be amazing
6 goals this Season - he's alright.
Martinelli and Saka have both scored more and got more assists in less games.

If we bring someone in I think they should be better than what we have. Sarr is just a young french Wellbeck.

You can blame him - was a poor challenge. Was nowhere near the ball. You think a Van Dijk or a Godin would have been that blatant? If your gonna foul just to bring the man down you have to make it look like it could have been a fair challenge. Everything about it was typical Luiz - back in a four and back making errors.

No sorry but I don't agree that he was the primary culprit. Yes he deserves blame for mistiming the tackle. But look at the pattern of play leading up to it. The point I'm making is he was forced to make a desperate challenge from Holding's indecisiveness on the edge of our box and was put into a precarious situation because of someone else.

Luiz didn't have a good game, but Holding was by far the worst defender. Awful performance from him today.

As for the overall game - it's a win, and I'm glad we signed off this horrid season with a victory. But I'm also glad it's come to an end. At 3-0 up, we should have been shutting the game down. But we invited them on, didn't close down properly, weren't focused and, if we're being totally honest, they had enough chances to win it even with our 3 goal advantage.

We didn't defend well and we didn't deal with the pressure well. We need to learn how to regain control of matches, rather than sit off and give the ball away all the time.

Thankfully, there didn't seem to be any major injuries.

However, if we perform like that next week, Chelsea will have a field day. Giroud will be chomping at the bit.

Big, big improvements needed ahead of the final.

Not good enough.

i just hope there's some budget for transfers

im not really sure how there would be. We really spent last summer, and you would probably say that money was not well spent at all.

no European football (pending FA cup), no match day income.

can’t really see us spending much, which is awful because this is probably when we need to spend the most.

He was awful man, at one point he actually ducked a cross in our box. Holding was bad too - overall our defnce was just shambolic. Tierney the only bright spark.

Yep me either. The problem for us is Leceister, United and Chelsea will be stronger.

Are there any signings from the relegated clubs we would take in our squad? Here are some options:

Bournemouth:

David Brooks - 23 y/o attacking midfielder
Nathan Ake - 25 y/o centre-half
Jefferson Lerma - 25 y/o defensive midfielder
Ryan Fraser - 26 y/o winger

Norwich:

Max Aarons - 20 y/o right-back
Ben Godfrey - 22 y/o centre-half
Jamal Lewis - 22 y/o left-back
Todd Cantwell - 22 y/o centre midfielder
Emiliano Buendia - 24 y/o attacking midfielder

Watford:

Abdoulaye Doucoure - 27 y/o box-to-box midfielder
Joao Pedro - 18 y/o striker
Ismailia Sarr - 22 y/o winger

Any takers?

Nathan Ake should be top of that pile of players we're in for. He's just what we need.
Doucoure at a replacement for Ozil would be good too.

I would take Sarr - but I cannot see it happening because its not a position we most need to strengthen in. Although something like a loan type scenario would be intriguing, that way if Watford bounce back up (I dont think they will) they could take him back, and we would not have spent any money.

Doucoure would be a good shout possibly, and maybe even available on the cheap.

Ive heard good things about Max Aarons, but im not sure at the £30m price tag. Similar situation with Todd Cantwell.

and before anyone makes a statement about relegation scrap heap etc...

Liverpool signed Wijnaldum from a relegated Newcastle and Shaqiri from a relegated Stoke, so there are some players out there that can provide good value.

Max Aarons would probably be the best bet.

Sarr would be Ok - as a squad player.
Dacoure - he's decent but not as good as people thought he was 2-3 Seasons ago.

Meunier went to Dortmund, Lalana went to Brighton, Giroud signed a contract extension.

I would look at Mario Goetze. Still only 28 and surely could help with our creative problem??
