Good win today against a strong Liverpool lineup.

Aubas finishing was superb again. Thought Bellerin looks like his old self again.
Saka and AMN were both class!

Gabriel has been good - he's fantastic in the air.
Willian has also been good - almost scored a clever free kick

Lacazette's first touch has been terrible.

We are lacking creativity - Xhaka and Elneny = alot of sideways passing. Hopefully Ceballos will get a run in the second half.

We need creativity in the 2nd half we can't be having a back five against relegation fodder. Shift Tierney to lb, AMN into the center and take of elneny for cebbalos I want to see us destroy fulham not scrape a 1-0

I was impressed with Willian today. 2 assists (3 if you count the first goal )

 

Always thought Willian was a superb bit of business.
Consistent performer for Chelsea.

Fantastic result today. We had a shaky opening 7-8 minutes, but we looked fairly settled after we scored. Fulham knocked it about nicely. I don't remember them creating any clear chances, though.

Gabriel, early error aside, had a tremendous game. Combative in the air, positions himself well, looks comfortable playing the ball out from the back and very good in 1v1 situations. Kamara barely had a sniff.

Holding was very dodgy in the first half. Instead of maintaining defensive shape, he was running to win the ball high up the field (which he didn't) and it left a huge space in behind that, luckily, Fulham weren't able to take advantage of. His passing also wasn't up to scratch. Second half, he was much more disciplined and solid.

What a debut too for Willian - 3 assists, created 2 other big chances and hit the post. I hope he carries this form on because we'll have one hell of a player on our hands.

Aubameyang I actually thought had a really quiet game up until he scored, but his finish was just trademark Auba. Stunning finish. Hope we announce his new deal soon.

Special shoutout to Elneny too - everyone thought he was going to be sold and wasn't going to play for us again. I don't think many wanted to either. But he was defensively resolute, kept possession ticking over, covered lots of ground and allowed us to play at a comfortable tempo. Good performance from him. If we don't sell him, I'm happy with him as a squad option for now.

Overall, a good, comfortable win on the opening day. Let's keep the momentum going.

 

Gabriel was immense yesterday.

Willian looks like he could be an absolute steal from Chelsea. No idea why they let him join us tbh. But their loss is our gain.

 

Yeah I thought Gabriel was the real standout yesterday.

Aside from that early error - he was very solid. He's seems ready made for the EPL as he's a very physical aggressive defender.

If we stick with a 3-4-3 this Season I hope Tierney gets moved back to fullback and either Saliba or Luiz comes in.

Frustrating Game. Xhaka has been awful

I think we will sell Pepe in the next 12 months.

£72million for this?! He's come on for Willian and we've looked a worse side - he's too mild for the EPL there's no fire about him. Its a shame because much like Ozil he's a real talent.
