Who is actually deciding that we can't have political discussions? Is it just the mods making that decision.

There is the general discussion board which covers it, but id rather have a go at you dickheads then some geezer from Bristol or Cornwall.

It really should not be for a mod to decide. Put it to a vote.

And if a thread is created, go on it, dont go on it, you choose.

MAKE NOT606 GREAT AGAIN!

There's been plenty of votes on it over the years and it was the members of the board who decided on the no politics/no religion rule.

It will kill the board
Cos it leaks into everything else
It will. If you read other clubs forums where political comments are allowed it's a ****show. You can sense the undercurrent of animosity amongst the posters even when they are discussing non-political topics. Keep politics off the forum - we have enough animosity just on football matters!!!!

^^^^These. <ok>

If people vote to change the mods, you won't get any argument from me, and I feel sure OLM wouldn't have any issues either.

The users decide how the board runs, we're simply cleaners.

I’m pretty sure you have zero interest in my politics. I’m certain I have no interest in yours or anyone else’s on here. It’s a football discussion.
In keeping with the thread title, miserable ratbag. :emoticon-0138-think

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

The Sunderland board is a complete disaster due to their politics thread, they generate most of the reports for the entire site.

And that's it in a nutshell ^^^ - I have my politics and no-one on here is EVER going to change them; which is the same as everyone else on here.

Politics and who we favour personally has become so much more transparent than it used to be,don't you think?

I remember asking my old man who he voted for( as a 15 year old kid some 50 years ago)... "Mind your own business" was his short, sharp reply.

Can't remember a lot of arguing about politics between individuals in those days and although politicians were crystal clear in their goals and stance,it was far more civil and respectful than it is now...
