Off Topic Off this board.....................

As long as I had a pint, I'd happily have a natter with anyone from on here. Only met up with Smug, but there's plenty I'd have a bevvy with.
I'm sure that we will meet someday mate...Smug is a cracking lad, and I'm still working on him to start posting again...He is a big miss in my opinion..

Quite a few think like you Raw (obviously i dont). He's always on the rtg board.

Smug won't be back. We miss his posts on here, for sure, even Comm accepted the board is worse off without Smug, but he's been back once and it just turned toxic for him. I don't blame him for staying away. No doubt there'll be topics he's interested in getting involved in but the minute he puts his foot in the water it sends ripples around the forum and the circus comes to town again.

Smug didn't leave for Smug's benefit, he left for the benefit of his mates on this board, that's why he won't come back, not like the old days anyway.

I did. He's a thread starter and we dont have enough of them.

Paradiddles, you'd be more that welcome to join us. They are an acquired taste, not entirely me cup of tea, but what they do, they do very well. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned The Revolutionairres to you. Have a listen on their website and see what you think.

Thanks mate yes if I'm not gigging I'll definitely come along :emoticon-0148-yes:- I know the band - I've done some gigs in the past whilst playing the same venue together (beer festival), a good act visually and musically

I'm sure I saw them at the Brandling Gate in Gosforth about three weeks ago. If it was them, they were excellent, double bass, sax, keys?

Any band that has a double bass is likely to be good.

My favourite instrument.

it's the reason i chose to play the cello. i wasn't big enough to get to grips with the double bass , but I was far more interested in strumming stray cats style, than playing the classics with me bow.

Exactly. Slap that bass. One reason why i like rockabilly and psychobilly music.

Stray cats or the guanabatz. Get slapping.

I might buy a bottle when I'm next in Prague, in May. Hopefully I can get Alexandra to serve it direct from her gusset.

That's mental, but the Czechs know how to make beer and birds, so why not eh.....I win't be robating $10,000 so they can make a beer from the wife's vaginal bacteria though.
