It depends on your definition of being "outdone" Ipswich are choosing to spend their budget whilst we are taking a different approach. Just because we have space in the FFP budget doesn't mean we can or should spend it. It's like having a credit card with a £20,000 limit - it doesn't mean you can spend £20,000 without paying it back.
Can you sort Strippers or even Burlesque dancers in the concourse???? For half time entertainment please.
You know what they say, if you want something doing, do it yourself. Someone get this man a feather boa and a set of nipple tassles pronto.
Bit if a feel good factor to start the day. Nicked this from the Foundation of Light's Facebook page SAFC have taken us down memory lane in recent weeks, whipping up nostalgia from the early 1990s with their retro kits and new Hummel partnership. Foundation of Light also want to pay homage to a timeless classic this weekend. Back in 1994, Mick Buxton guided SAFC to a 12th place finish in Division One, Wet Wet Wet were at number one with the biggest selling single of year ‘Love Is All Around’, the first-ever episode of FRIENDS aired - and Ken Riley had his first day working for Sunderland AFC! Since that day, the Stadium of Light has been built, there’s been 29 Sunderland managers, six trips to Wembley and over 850,000 through the doors at the Beacon of Light! Congratulations Ken on your milestone of 30 years with Sunderland AFC and the Foundation of Light - three decades of coaching in the community.
Kenny is a lovely bloke. He looks after the ball boys/girls. I played cricket with him at Houghton and Littletown
Right, no reason not to have an adult section seeing that we already have a family section. Cater to all etc.
https://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2024/april/east-stand-developments Earlier this week, Sunderland AFC announced a new 10-year partnership with Fanatics. This included that a brand-new stadium store will open at Black Cat House in summer 2024, as part of a transformational period for the Club’s retail operation. Information relating to further developments to the Club’s ticketing and fan servicing operations will also be communicated shortly. Ahead of this, fans are advised that the proposed changes will unfortunately result in the displacement of the personalised bricks located in panel eight on the East Stand. We understand the deep emotional and personal significance associated with personalised bricks and we will be engaging closely with the fans impacted to discuss the steps involved in this process, which will conclude with the bricks moving to a new location. Although the Club have up-to-date contact details for many of the fans affected, the bricks on panel eight were installed more than 25 years ago. If you believe you or someone you know has a personalised brick located in panel eight, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please reach out to the Club as soon as possible. You can do this by emailing [email protected]. A member of our team will subsequently be in touch to ensure you are supported throughout this process, which we will endeavour to handle with care and consideration.
They could have stuck a simple plan on the email to show where the hell panel 8 is as I have no idea and with the season finished it’s not easy for some people to get there and check!
