I bought the blue shirt. I did not buy it specifically because of the artists statue on it. I would have bought it anyway. If anything it advertises his work because I previously hadn't seen it and wasn't aware of it at all. Club still should have okayed it with him mind, but he is just after an easy payday with this isn't he?
Possibly, or if they'd been informed from another source, e.g. the council, that it was fine they may not have thought it needed doing. But the fact that almost a year later he springs it makes it look like a money grab. We've apparently sold over 100,000 shirts this year (in total of all three designs) and a very good wedge of those will be the away kit, so if he's claiming compo it could be a hefty amount based on proportion. I bet he'd not be doing it if we'd only shifted a fraction of that, say less than 10k.

It's only going to be worn once more (Wolves away next week) then be replaced, so issuing a cease and desist letter is a bit pointless. It just reminds me of the time that Vasey signs tried to pull the club over a barrel when the SOL was getting built over some advertising hoardings on Southwick Road that were worth £25k and they wanted £250k for them.

Gash from all concerned.

Big credit to those who stayed and continued to support the lads in the 2nd half.

Bayern after Brobbey? No chance.

Stadium expansion? No chance as most of those new found fans will leave as quickly as they arrived when things ain't going great.

The marketing team at SAFC are utterly superb. This has replaced the cat on Black Cats house. I’m supporting mental health awareness charities

I was really pleased to see this. It's good to open up the discussion around mental health issues.

There's mental health awareness activities going on at the match on Saturday including a drop in hub at the Beacon if anyone wants to talk to someone.

Amad: Mowbray was like a dad to me during Sunderland loan

At the end of Amad Diallo's interview with Sky Sports, Danyal Khan showed the Man Utd player a personal video recorded by Tony Mowbray.

Mowbray was his manager during a loan spell at Sunderland in 2022/23.

Before being shown the video, the 23-year-old was asked about the influence Mowbray had on him.

He said: "Tony Mowbray was like a dad and manager for me. We had such a good relationship. He was there to help me every time. He told me 'You are the player I want in my team, you are going to decide the games.

"I really enjoyed my time in Sunderland. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about the club. Everything I have to say is positive, and now I'm one of the big fans, because I watch every game when they play, so I'm so happy for what they did this season."

He was visibly moved by the video and, afterwards, said: "Don't make me cry! Why didn't you tell me about the video first? I'm so emotional.

"Like I said, he was a dad and manager for me, and he gave me a lot of confidence.

"The days I arrived in the club, he gave me the key to shine; he gave me everything that could help me to improve, and I'm so grateful for what he did for me.

Ownership haven’t exactly denied we aren’t up for sale and it was discussed by Haway the podcast and Barnsey (no inside info just agreed that this is the best time to sell if they wanted to reduce their risks / investment)

Hopefully nothing more than outside investment, which has been rumoured by some on here over last few months.
