A few places are claiming we will loan him when needed.

Sign him for 3m a week but let him leave on loan? Seems to make perfect sense for them

Easy rumour to start but newcastle don't want old ****e with bad attitudes

In gossip column today so it may be true. I wonder if we had any part of this or if it's just Ronaldo giving himself an option to join our bandwagon? But **** off Ronaldo either way.

With Wilson managing 50% of games and Isak managing 3 games so far he'd be a good option for us.

Commercially he'll do well for the SA team and he'd bring in a lot of commercial revenue so it makes sense for us. If you have Ronaldo you can charge what you want for commercial deals. I'd take him as a back up - I think 6 months playing in SA will knock a bit of realism into him and when he turns up in July he'll be happy to be a team player.

Anyone else seeing a potential long term FFP dodge here?

Various different Saudi clubs sign big name players on high wages.. then loan the player to NUFC for a fraction of the value… for a season or two…

we strengthen immediately… at low cost… and there’s no way implication on FFP…

Who would you rather have.... Chris Wood or Ronaldo (as a sub option)? My only issue is he would not, as mentioned previously, fit into our style of play. We cannot carry passengers. We do not have the personnel

Ok Ronaldo can still score goals. But what would his presence do to the dressing room? All it would need is a snide comment about him earning 10x what Bruno or Botman gets and there’d be negativity.

He's being paid by Al Nassr. We cannot control what they pay him. This would only be on some loan basis.
