Which I think it will. I reckon Fraser will go aswell as Ritchie. But we don’t have s large squad. I can’t think of any others we would consider shipping out at the moment.
I think they will do very little this month at this point. Howe pretty much said unless they get injuries or something changes he's happy with the squad.
Well to be fair he's not exactly.going so say "Of course we're spending big, we have billions and billions. Bring it on."
Seem to recall he played down the last 2 transfer windows too. No point in alerting other teams to our plans.
Well he said something different tbh .. he wasn't talking ffp he just said we're not looking at anything in January
I agree with you mate I think Howe was being genuine and that’s fair enough. I can see a loan deal at the most. I wouldn’t worry to much if we take this squad into the 2nd half of the season. FFP is designed to stop the ridiculous spending that has happened in the past.
But it's not working, because the big teams just keep spending more and more and the gulf is getting bigger - despite all the hypocritical crap that Kloppy spouts out about life not being fair.
I think they'll spend but only if it's a good deal .. Newcastle are in a position where they don't need to do anything desperately and ffp is starting to impact the clubs position I would imagine
They have had their chance to build up revenues and break barriers. They did that with the sponsorship deals. Buying players and loaning them out. Etc. They played the system. The system then go fixed after they have got their inflated revenue streams and long term deals. Now ours are scrutinised. But they can’t block commercial bona fide deals and this is where FFP and the PL are playing a part. We will get the deals in but they have to be at market value: which levels have already been set. We can’t compete…. YET!
It is and it will until we can obtain the commercial deals. And the morality line from other clubs is a load of bollocks. If sponsors see a means to make more money they would sponsor anything.
