October RIP

[Help!]

My daughters best friends boyfriend died last night at 19 yrs old.

Got turned away from a rave for being too drunk and tried to sneak in a back way, climbing down a 10m stone wall into a drydock and fell. Probably all of us made decisions as teenagers that could have ended badly and occasionally it happens. Absolutely tragic and the girls are devastated.

Condolences to all involved, though that feels pretty inadequate. 19 is no age and, as you say, with the misplaced confidence of youth it could have been most of us I guess. Poor guy.

You’re absolutely right in that kids do dangerous things and sometimes the consequences are devastating.

There is an open church tonight where his friends and family have met to grieve together. My daughters aren't religious but wanted to be there, so i dropped them off and the parents were waiting outside to thank all for coming and it was hard to see them suffering. Under the cowardly cloak of anonymity on here, I can admit that I thought thank **** it wasn't one of mine.
