What next? A poll on who shaves their pubic hair?

I shave my arse from time to time. It's not an aesthetic thing before anyone asks or suggests a homosexualist element, nobody gets close enough to my arse for it to matter. It's purely cos it can get quite matted down there and this is more hygienic.

Try wiping properly then wash that might stop the matting

What gets me are the women who have them done thinking they are works of art (like Cheryl Cole), in all honesty they look tacky & if they think about it, just how will they look when the skin starts losing it's firmness & they get wrinkles !! I have never yet met anyone who's looks have been improved by having ink done, but I have met a lot where the opposite is the case

Nobody looks attractive when they get wrinkles, having tattoos on your arms won't make you less attractive than other pensioners.

I read an interesting thing about tattoos in Croatia. Apparently, Croatian women used to tattoo themselves and their children to prevent the Ottomans from converting them to Islam. It worked as well, and a lot of old women in Croatia have their arms and hands covered in tattoos.

I got three or four on my upper arms about 25 years ago, just as they were starting to become more fashionable. I was considering getting more done but I'm so glad I didn't now, cos it's just the most ****ing unoriginal thing imaginable. Every **** seems to have 'em now, in the sad belief that it somehow makes them look more individual, when it actually does just the opposite.

And those swirly things behind the ears, or those hollow stars..... silly ****s.

up to your high standards as usual Chazzy

I've had a long hard think about this and I've decided that I want a tattoo and I now know what it's going to be.

When my pooch pops his clogs I'm getting a tattoo of his face done.

On my face.

So I would then look like him. I'd look like Charles.

He's only 2 so I might have to wait some time but how good would that look?

To clarify.

I currently do not have a tattoo of a pair of glasses on my face.

I'm not mental.

Why do women still get tattoos of 'Arse Antlers' even though everybody knows they are the epitome of **** tattoos, is just beyond me. Apologies to anybody with Arse Antlers who got them whilst they still were a novelty

I've got a tattoo myself, wish I'd never as your mum is always right and 16 years down the line your older self looks at it and thinks it is a bit ****

Not heard of them as arse antlers before.

By the sounds of it there are a few City tattoos on here. I didn't necessarily mean that when I started the thread but it's surprised me a bit. Personally I'd never get anything that could 'change'. Whether that be how it looks or something alters to effect my opinion of it.

The argument that people with tattoos are vain is kind of an oxymoron. If tattoos are s**t and they deface your body, then surely it means the person getting one doesn't give a s**t about their appearance, and so they are the opposite of vain. Then again, hipsters have a lot of tattoos and they're the most self-obsessed bellends on the planet.

I don't mind tattoos, but I have one myself so maybe I'm biased. <laugh>

I honestly haven't in my life seen one good tattoo. I am perplexed as to why people get them, they look f**ing s**t. As for having your entire arm covered in a 'sleeve' tattoo - I must be missing something, but they look f**ing ridiculous, not to mention the tattoos behind the ears or on the neck. I wouldn't employ any f**er with tattoos, hate them.

Would you refuse to employ someone who was a practising Christian or Muslim? I'm only using this analogy because it's the only one I could think of, but I quite often here people say this sort of thing, and the argument is always "It's their choice to have tattoos, so they should face the consequences". Tattoos are just a lifestyle choice like religion or playing sports, so why should they be discriminated against for having one? I'd understand if he had visibly, offensive tattoos, but denying someone a job opportunity because they have some ink on their skin is quite ridiculous.
