I'm hoping there is a massive no vote, but regardless of the outcome I would gladly lance that Boyle...

 

I suspect you will be disappointed.

The vote will be close but I expect the No voters to prevail, however the genie is out of the bottle and there is no putting it back. Whatever the result, there is now momentum for real change in the political set up of the UK.

You can thank us rebellious Scots for that.

 

In a complete minority on here. I'm expecting a win for the No vote, but hoping for a win from Yes.

Whatever they decide, good luck to all of them and I hope that tomorrow people from both sides can come back together and get on with working toward a better future whether that is in or out of the UK

I hope you're right in your pessimism Dev. I'm concerned the YES vote will win. The ramifications are potentially huge.

I'd welcome a reform of the whole political system, for sure, if that's what comes out of this I'll happily give the Scots credit for it.

I am the average white brit though that has no say in anything, we can't say what colour skin somebody has, we can't talk about religion, we are told exactly what our kids must do and eat and we will never get the opportunity to vote for our own independence and shut the immigration doors.

If I was a jockstrap I'd be all over that Yes vote, f** sticking together and better the devil you know s**t, I admire anyone who wants out of this awful s**t storm we've been forced into.

Try getting yourself a decent sandwich within 500 yards of my office in Manchester without being told 'that's Halal pal' and you'll begin to understand my frustrations.

I ****ing hate Halal meat, why the **** is it served to me on the sly without me knowing unless I specifically ask?

I only eat free-range or organic chicken, then I have to deal with people saying "No mate it's not free range but it's Halal"... like that's the same.

Not a lot pisses me off more than people ****ing with my chicken!

 

You won't be too happy to know that 80% of halal meat butchered in the UK ends up in supermarkets

Just for the record, we only eat halal, my wife is Bengali. Still tastes the same, I got over the moral issues years ago!

 

That's fine mate, you choose to eat it though, where as I choose not to eat it but I have to ask if it is halal to find this out.

I am told by the local butcher I get my free-range chicken from that halal meat not only tastes a lot different to how it should taste, but the average chicken breast contains around 30% less protein than a free-range one of exactly the same weight.

As somebody who trains religiously (excuse the pun), I watch everything that goes into my body, I can't add sauces, marinades and oils to add taste so I eat most chicken as it comes just grilled, it's fuel to me not food I need to taste. I can tell the difference between halal and free-range/organic in seconds. I spat my butterfly chicken out on my plate and almost wrapped the plate round the waiters head in Nando's because they told me it was free-range when it was just halal meat.

 

So no tip then

My youngest lad gets through god knows how many chickens a week for the same reason! He's just as religious as you! I'm impressed with his discipline. I go to them gym 4 times a week but if a miss a sesh there's no guilt. Not with him. Could be worse, I guess with drugs and other crap these days.

 

Nando's are arseholes!

I've been, done and got the t-shirt for all the drugs and booze days, there comes a time where you gotta start looking after yourself I guess, so I try to go every morning.

There's young lads aged 18/19 in the gym who give it their all and I respect that, you gotta get in shape for the ladies but they all disappear when the pads come out though, one kid loves it but the rest of them start 'oh it's my cardio day today, I'll be on the treadmill' haha there's never a better time than the present to get your head caved in!

 

No oils, sauces, marinades? Why bother going to nandos?
