If you want to go the fine dining route then take the trip out to Pipe & Glass. Only Michelin starred establishment in the East Riding and they don't give them out for nowt.

Was actually there for lunch this week. Venison tartar starter was excellent. Second best I've ever had. Only beaten by what I had in a two starred Michelin restaurant.

Outstanding restaurant that place, stands up against anything out there in the entire country.

Just won the National dining pub of the year award to add to its 5 consecutive Michelin star awards.

I'm going to review my Home Bargains spending if Junior managers can afford this.

Any Michelin Stars in Hull, by the way?

If you want to talk about dodgy chineses then the one I had in Portugal on my hols is right up there.

Absolutely rank.

I'm sure having a Michelin star means it will be more expensive than food of very similar quality

Are there any decent quality inexpensive places in Hull ? Any good Italian restaurants in Hull ?

I might stop going to football and start going to restaurants <laugh>

You're not learning mate.

Certain people are not to be messed with.

They are watching and listening to everything.

You know that Kate and Gerry were eating Chinese that night don't you?

And Kate just happened to mention the prawn crackers were a bit soft.

Me? I've enjoyed every Chinese meal I've ever eaten.

Anywhere. Worldwide.

Golden Star is best Chinese in Hull (sorry Jimmy).

As for eating out, I've been restricted to pub lunches recently and not been anyway special. May I recommend Minerva.
