Under section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1998 it is an offence to send an indecent, offensive or threatening letter, electronic communication or other article to another person and sections 85 Postal Services Act 2000 or s127 Communications Act 2003 there are similar specific offences relating to sending postal or telephone messages which are indecent offensive or threatening. Both offences are punishable with up to six months imprisonment and/or a fine.
Saints fan in peace.
Guys it is nice to see that there still is decent fans around that refuse to condone such barbaric postings as we have witnessed on twitter. Personally I hope they catch the guy and throw the book at him. Others tell me the same guy posted similar barbaric things in relation to the Keane episode. If this is true they guy has just got to be sick in the head. Either way it is so sad that any one would stoop so low as to post that kind of thing. Sadly maybe that is the kind of society that is around in today's world.
Anyway I just though I would thank you for your support for Billy on behalf of a lot of Saints fans.![]()

The same happened with our intellectually challenged friends down the road at Portsmouth; some people are so thick!
Thanks for all you support with Billy Sharp. I hope this idiot is caught and sent to Winchester prison with a high number of Saints fans inside waiting to greet him!!
If someone rings me, so I'm 'receiving' the message, can I be abusive or am I still 'sending' the message?
I view unsolicited calls as an univited intrusion of my home, so think different rules should apply.
There was actually a program on tv maybe a week or so ago about Internet trolls. The sad specimens they turn out to be, in most cases.
I think people feel they can't be touched for it, but they can. People go down for stuff like this.
As is often the case, I think these things are routed in people's low self esteem, or their own sense of hopelessness. So they shoot down those who make something of themselves. (Please, anybody who is actually qualified in any form of psychology tell me otherwise, I'm just musing here. I am quite happy to be wrong and corrected, it's an interesting thing to look at.)
Additionally, people have been known to commit suicide when being the victims of trolling. So a potentially very devastating thing.
In this particular case, how low can you go? It's cheap, opportunistic & vicious. Lousy people.
Sick c**t!!!
