Wolves boss Nuno Santo says his side must find a way to combat teams like Sunderland not wanting to play football.

Chris Coleman came to Molineux with a plan to frustrate Wolves and put plenty of men behind the ball, and it worked.

Speaking after the game, Santo said he believes his team will find a way to counter this in the future.

He stated: " I am disappointed because this is a not a victory, I'm not frustrated. This is part of football.

"Victories are hard to achieve.

"We work hard to achieve that and the boys worked hard.

Wolves 0 Sunderland 0 - here's the player ratings, they are lower than usual!

"There was only one team on the pitch trying to achieve three points and that was us.

"Our fans need to realise that we need them to keep pushing really hard right until the end.

"Games like this will happen again and we have to find solutions.

"I thought we created enough, the high standards will always be there and we are a team that wants to grow and improve.

"One of the things we have to contend with is nine men behind teh ball not wanting to play football.

"I am not worried about the gameplans of opponents, I will find solutions to mine.

"They didn't stop us playing, we created. Things will be different."

The fans turned out in force on a frost old day. The pavements were lethal and the temperatures were arctic, unusually, it was the team that slipped up.

Wolves huffed and puffed but couldn’t blow down the resolute, and at times ugly looking Sunderland house.

Sunderland parked the bus and the fans were left with very little warmth from the players on the pitch.

The bobbly-hatted Molineux masses had to endure a poor afternoon from their team but as long as there is plenty of festive cheer in the coming weeks, they won’t mind too much.

Ahhhh diddums !!

He's right. He also needs to accept when you're at the top, teams will come looking to park the bus. Get used to it.

To be fair, he's not really called us for it. He's just telling his own fans he'll find a solution when it happens again.

Baffles me when gaffers say **** like that.

You’re side is crawling with players who can find a way through you’re job at home to win, a draw away to a top of the league side is a good result if you’re second let alone 2nd bottom.

Fat ****.

He is not attacking us, just telling it as he saw it. Fair do's, it was a great result for us and a poor one for him. A clean sheet away is priceless in our position, and if we can build on this and start winning a game or two at home we will breathe a lot easier. Coleman got this just right today, and now I want to see how he tackles the problem of our home form. I would love to see some of our home grown youth players inject some passion into the crowd and spark a revival. Is this just me getting carried away, or can it happen, who knows, but it's a nice thought. Onwards and upwards.

Aww well
Did you expect us to go gung hohoho ?

We are not that good

Thats the key to the rest of the season.

I see us picking up points away from home. The lads seem to feel less pressure away.

But home form is the key from here on in.

I take it as an attack, he said we didn't play football. So a tactically organised defence away to the team top of the league isn't football? It's very disrespectful. Our football won us a great point today. Their football couldn't break us down with 10 men. So who actually played the best football? I'd say us. Just cause it's not attractive doesn't mean it's honesty should be questioned and that man questioned it imo with poor backhanded comment. He was tactically out done on the football stage, he should suck it up with a bit more grace and give us a our dues imo.

That’s the way I’m thinking

By the team CC picked you could see he had a game plan. That shocked the sh*t out of me......a Sunderland manager with a game plan......holy moly what is the world coming too......lol. If their guy had anything about him her should had put his game plan to counteract it. Yep, we were going to park the bus. What do you expect in our situation when we are fighting for survival. Great performance today by the lads. End of story.......
