Cork might be 16, he was at Scunthorpe? I also think Forte & Dicksons squad numbers need to change as they don't suit what position they play in for me

How about Forte 18 if Mills goes, Chaplow 8, Cork 16, make Dickson 3 and Harding 48 or some awful number like that?!

Are they that important - remember when it was straight 1 to 11 with no shirt names on the back - you still knew where you were - 3 left back, 9 centre forward, 12 you wernt playing.

I'm sure Harding will be number 3 again next season, but other than that I like the sound of those numbers and realistically they could happen

Yeah I agree, I just don't like Forte as number 8! If we don't sign another striker, we could always make Guly number 10 and Chamberlain 11?

Does it really matter what number you are . Being number 77 rather than 7 is not going to affect a players performance is it.

I was very impressed with Harding this season. Hope he keeps up the good work. See in the United match? Harding was superb!

agreed :) i know we've been through this time and time and time again, but Harding does get a lot of unfair criticisim

Some might have lucky numbers. Balotelli used 45 for Inter and Man City. Carragher has stuck with 23 for most of his career. Villa likes 7. Valentino Rossi never took the 1 when he was MotoGP champion, he stuck with 46. Sportsmen can be very superstitious...

My personal lucky number would be 14, would be nice to play that for Saints <laugh>

Too right. He was part of the best defence in the league. If he wasn't playing well then Adkins wouldn't have been consistently starting him. And he did destroy United.
