Been away for a while but my view on Colback is I'd rather have him than not have him. He knows the league, isn't afraid to put his foot in, gives 100% and most importantly adds squad depth. Serious competition normally results in players performing better.
Sunderland's loss, and it is a loss, is our gain. He's no world beater, but competition for places is healthy and both clubs lack that in certain areas.
We now have Tiote, Anita and Colback vying for two positions. It's a solid, if not spectacular start to our summer recruitment.
So in short I agree with the majority of opinions that have already been voiced.
