This is his achilles heel. It's listed, so not above action and it's fine margins at that level, all about profit margins. £3bn means **** all if it's at 0.001% profit. And it doesn't take a lot of action to hit profits.
Not sure I get your point. In relation to the effect NUFC protests will have on SD. I think some people think our influence is far greater tan it actually is and that we are somehow in control of the situation. We aren't.

Personally see it as a waste of time. Bottom line is people shop at SD because it's cheap. Sports retail and online sales in UK is anyway only 64.9% of Group turnover and you can see they are trying to diversify away from Cheap Tat to what they call Premium Lifestyle (or what we would call Slightly less cheap TAT) which was fastest growing part of business last year. You may be right that shareholders of SD would put pressure on him if they felt that his investment in NUFC was harming the SD Group but I think they would be more likely worried about working conditions and the bad press the group get from that rather than a few people protesting outside stores about the way he runs Newcastle.
