Seriously, I have no idea what you are asking about.
They want to build a 6 mile wall around Swansea Bay to harness the tides for renewable energy.Cost £750-850m.
Not around the bay but projecting out from either side of King's Dock.

It would be an absolute disaster if we don't go ahead with this and soon.
Going ahead would provide good jobs, cheaper electricity (Neath and Swansea if you buy from them - no compulsion).
Put Swansea back on the industrial map without pollution of the past.
Offer additional leisure, recreational and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Expensive to build and initial electricity subsidies but would soon have paid for itself and be producing free, clean energy for about 100 years. As it is the first there would be additional start up cost which could be clawed back when others are built around the UK.
Some of the people behind it are Welsh and really want Wales to be at the forefront of this technology - another for North Wales has detailed plans and there is a hope for another on the West Wales Coast.
Environmentally as friendly as it gets.
Not to get it would make us look like some hick backwater with no ambition.

The chances of it happening diminish by the day, there are too many people who are determined to see the planning application is rejected. These are angling groups, fishermen, the Gower society, all of the big energy companies, several highly regarded professors in St David's University group (who coincidentally are experts in other forms of energy), that MP who stopped a motorstorm style race on Swansea Bay after he lost his seat for Swansea West.
They are all saying there is no proof that adverse effects on sand movement, fish migratory routes and the sand dunes will be unaffected. Ironary is the moaners have no proof they will affected anyway but our law puts the onus on the builders to provide the data.

I truly wish that something would be done about our dismal, decaying, uninviting so called City centre.Walking through there yesterday is depressing.Oh and the Christmas lights.......FFS!!!
Agree with you sentiments, being exiled when I come home and see the poor lovely ugly town, in such a state breaks my heart.
