BBC pointed out that Norwich are the only 2nd tier side that haven't had an Englishman score this season. Just Aarons against Cardiff in the Caraubuh cup. Sounds like a terrific battling display today.
Stats Attempts at goal - 19 On Target - 7 Off target - 5 (at least 1 hit the post!!) Blocked - 7 Who needs JM?????? 2,000 jubilant NCFC fans. Edit - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...-nottingham-forest-championship-win-1-5745192
JMF's bouncebackability came through in two senses! Tremendous result after that travesty of a loss against Stoke. We also had 12 corners to their none and ended their 13 game unbeaten run at home. Great for the togetherness throughout the squad and the whole.
From the BBC match report - 'City striker Rhodes imposed his presence on the game, keeping Pantilimon busy, and Klose's timely brace ensured a return to winning ways and a first defeat against the Canaries for Reds boss Aitor Karanka.'
After 38 minutes that has been Lampard's Derby's only shot, with Sheffield United now bossing the possession (56/44), shots (6-1) and corners (3-0).
Timm Klose now has 9 goals in 99 games for Norwich City. He's the first Canaries defender to: Score two goals in a game since Russell Martin against Man City in December 2012 Score in back-to-back away games since Gary Doherty in December
Watched on ifollow. Very even game with both sides having their periods of dominance. We started a bit slow and Florist were pinging diagonal balls and putting pressure on Lewis and Aarons. Their goal was creative and a good finish by Grabban. But we had some great chances also with young Todd the creator. In the second half we had longer periods of pressure, resulting in corners and free kicks. Leitner’s delivery was a bit hit and miss, but when it was good Klose benefitted (aided by Rhodes for the second). Great fight back. COYY
Rhodes shot was parried by the keeper and Klose slotted home the rebound. 'The run and glancing flick despatched Moritz Leitner’s free kick before he again showed anticipation Jordan Rhodes would be proud off to slam home the rebound after Costel Pantilimon could only parry Rhodes’ header.' http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...-nottingham-forest-championship-win-1-5745192
Marriott scored the winner & took Frank Lampard's Derby county above Norwich up into 5th place on GD..
Neil Spencer@jjspen Replying to @abairrodn Got to be humble...you played us off the park after first 20 mins mate, you lot looked a cracking team and fans were decent too. Good attitude from your players and manager too after game, taking time for kids wanting autographs etc Warren Allsworth@warrenallsworth Would say that #ncfc comfortably best side we’ve played this season. Played some excellent stuff. The 36 for them looks a cracking player. #NFFC
That is the first time away from home that Norwich have come back from a losing position to win since 17th September 2016. Coincidentally this was also against #NFFC #NCFC
