Accident by all accounts, related to renovation works being carried out. No reports I've seen of injured or worse...
Only noticed one fire engine team spraying water and it took them one n half hours to get there ? The guillotine for who ever ****ed up....you would of thought by now they should be able to respond to what ever emergency there is.
That part of Paris including the Notre Dame is allegedly were the ancient Celts who lived on the Yorkshire Wolds are supposed to of originated from....hence the name Parisi for the tribe living here in BC and Roman times. https://www.romanobritain.org/4-celt/clb_tribe_parisi.php
Most important thing, obviously, is the human aspect - fingers crossed no one injured or hurt in anyway as a result. Devastating in terms of history - terrible.
I'm so glad I was able to visit it a couple of years ago, even moreso now. Absolutely horrible scenes.
Quasimodo can now shout ‘The Fire Bells...’. Went a few years ago. Lovely building and a real shame it’s happened. Hopefully it will be rebuilt to be just as impressive.
