First week of the October league and again the scores are wiped clean to find an October Champion. Your scores from August and September are saved and will be added to each months scores as we go along for a season total.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The cup competition will be back to start in November to run alongside the prediction leage. To qualify for the NOVEMBER CUP you must finish in the top 16 positions in the October league -

Its just a bit of fun each week and you dont have to play each week. There will be a weekly winner and at the end of the month a league winner for the person scoring the most points in that month. For those really competitive ones and ones that can last the pace there will also be an end of season winner for the one who has accumulated the most points over the season. There is a 10.00 Saints gift token prize for the season winner.
The usual mix of saints, pompey games any anything from premier league, football league and european leagues to womens football.
From November i will start a cup competion as well to the end of the season
CHANGES
Ever since season 1 of the prediction league I have made a change each year to freshen things up a bit including bringing in bonus goals, the joker and a gamble question and for those of you who have played before I have made a change this year.
I have removed this year the gamble question and replaced it with a question 3 that allows you to be as brave as you feel. For example - name as many teams as you want from the weekends premier league and championship fixtures who will score 2 goals or more - You will get 2 points for each correct team you include but if you pick just 1 incorrect team you will lose all your points in that question. Therefore if you are not feeling too brave you may only select 1 or 2 teams that you are certain will do the job. However you could select 8 teams and you will get a point for each of those teams unless you pick a team that doest meet the question and you will score 0 points for Question 3.
The joker feature stays and can only be played on correct score predictions and not for goalscorer. Put a (J) against your most confident prediction to double your points for that prediction. You will therefore pick up 6pts for an exact score, 2pts for correct result if correct on the fixture you chose
SCORING
Exact correct score = 3 points
correct result (home win/away win/draw) = 1 point
Play your Joker (J) on any score prediction to double pts scored for that prediction.
correct goalscorer = 3pts
Any goals scored in the Bonus match added to your total
Question 3 correct team without incorrect team =2pt per correct team

HOWEVER ANY EDITS OF POST AFTER THE FIRST KICK OFF OF THE EARLIEST GAME WILL VOID ALL PREDICTIONS FOR THAT WEEK. GOALSCORER PREDICTIONS FOR LATE KICK OFFS/SUNDAY GAMES CAN BE CHANGED BY CREATING A NEW POST BUT THE SCORER MUST BE FROM THE ORIGINAL MATCH YOU HAD CHOSEN.
YOU CANNOT CHANGE OR EDIT A QUESTION 3 ANSWER AFTER THE FIRST GAME IS UNDERWAY.
