1st week of the march league
No Saints game this week but the prediction league rolls on.
16 of you have qualified for the March cup competition and have further predictions to make - see details below

As an added incentive this year and this year only as the 5th anniversary of the competition there will be 3 x 5.00 Southampton gift vouchers to win. You could win all 3 and pocket 15.00 worth of vouchers. These will be for 1) most weekly wins, 2)Season title winner and 3) most cup wins when the competition starts in November.
Its just a bit of fun each week and you dont have to play each week. There will be a weekly winner and at the end of the month a league winner for the person scoring the most points in that month. For those really competitive ones and ones that can last the pace there will also be an end of season winner for the one who has accumulated the most points over the season.
The usual mix of saints, pompey games any anything from premier league, football league and european leagues to womens football.
CHANGES
There will be a gamble question that you can chose to play or not. If you get the gamble question correct (which will usually be a 50/50) you will gain a further 3 points and if you get it wrong you will lose 3 of your points.
The joker feature stays but can only be played on correct score predictions and not for goalscorer. Put a (J) against your most confident prediction to double your points for that prediction. You will therefore pick up 6pts for an exact score, 2pts for correct result if correct on the fixture you chose
SCORING
Exact correct score = 3 points
correct result (home win/away win/draw) = 1 point
3 points for each of the 2 other correct predictions.
Any goals scored in the Bonus match added to your total
Play your Joker (J) on any score prediction to double pts scored for that prediction.

You are head to head with you opponent above. therefore you could get knocked out with 8 points if your opponent scores 9. Someone else may get through on 4 points if they beat their opposition. There are 4 TEAMS and a goalscorer to pick and the skill is identifying who will score the most goals in games selected.
There must be a winner in these matches as after the 1st week we will be down to 8 players, after the 2nd week down to 4, then 2 at the end of the 3rd week. The final 2 will go head to head in the 4th week. Therefore if you get the same points as your opponent there will be a penalty shoot out based firstly on who scored most points from their goalscorer, if after that it is still a draw then its which team scored most in your first listed team, if still level then most points from 2nd listed team and if still equal after that the winner will be the person who posted their predictions 1st.
If you do not post any cup predictions your opponent will get a bye to the next week. If neither of you make predictions you will both be out and the best scoring loser from another game will go through. CUP GAMES CANNOT BE EDITED - ANY CHANGES PLEASE CREATE A NEW POST.
