That's QPR. I nominate The Chapel Arms.

I'd be up for that (would still need to get a ticket for the game, though - hopefully my mate who's a season ticket holder will assist), but I imagine we won't be the only ones there, so we'd need some kind of ID - perhaps NOT wearing a Saints shirt? :emoticon-0105-wink:
Would still be up for a curry one evening though, if anyone's interested.

Why not wear a QPR shirt? You'd stand out then :)

You're just up the road! Not a bad shout, although I'm more of a Wunderbar man myself. Any other Saints fans in Somerset/North Somerset/Bath & NE Somerset?

Wunderbar is closed for the foreseeable, licence issues apparently, probably the music side as that is expensive.

Mallards or fat sams is probably the only options now

No it was shut because the Council, after the police raided the Stones Cross and found drugs, decided that every music venue in Midsomer Norton had to have 3 security guards on at all events. This was what shut a venue which had been open without trouble of any kind for over 20 years. Anyway I think some sort of compromise has been agreed because it looks like it could reopen soon. <ok>

That's good news Chilco, it's my son's favourite haunt so it'll give me an excuse to go over to Somerset again and make him buy me beer.

Have a saints top, and beer in left hand+?

Actually there's a pub by Woolston St that is usually pretty empty, but still a short walk to ground.

Sorry you misunderstand me. It was the words Fat Sam that got me ,............

I expect its named after the speakeasy from bugsy Malone, although thank god the place isn't themed. I can imagine a fat Sam's with a west ham connection though, just one lager on tap, slightly luke warm when poured and a sense of absolute misery in the atmosphere.
