It looks like this 'once in a lifetime opportunity' is not going to happen, unfortunately . . . . because of a few factors, including the organiser not being available and ongoing feuds that spoil relationships on here :emoticon-0101-sadsm

It may be possible to arrange something similar later, if and when circumstances change for the better, and I'd like to ask if anybody fancies playing football on a sunday morning in preparation, to help to keep fit, or just because you fancy a game.

Just in case, a few of you know that I play on a sunday (like I will be this morning), and it would be great if a few could join me at The Millennium Centre in Concord (10:00 - 11:00). Just let me know if you fancy a regular game (or just turn up when I least expect it) :emoticon-0105-wink:

Bitterly disappointed if this doesn't happen, however it has got me off my backside and am now jogging five days a week ( not all day obviously)to get fit which as I enjoy it I will continue even if there is no end purpose, still hope there will be a game.

I can't play regular these days due to injuries that I gathered when I did play, but I was looking forward to the one off game..

You don't have to play regularly, Whitey, but coming along on sundays when you can would help you (if you fancy it) and anybody else that fancies it . . . . it would also help the camaraderie of the board (not just S.A.F.C. supporters . . . . Hatty, Has., Cardew and QWOP would be welcome, too) :emoticon-0105-wink:

Edit: I remembered his stage name.

It's in Washy isn't it? Bit of a trek usually but I am finding myself in the North East a lot recently (10mins or so from Washington) so perhaps I will. <laugh>

Well I live in 'Sheels, which is 8 miles away (aye . . . . Concord is in Washington), so 10 minutes sounds like you'll be closer than me :emoticon-0105-wink:

On thursdays I play at Durham Cricket Club, which is 13 miles away . . . . I'm dead keen, like :cheesy:

Do you fancy some sundays, when you're 'up' ?

South Shields? Without giving the game away too much I'm finding myself very, very near there <laugh>.

I probably do however I'll admit I'm not that good anymore (if I ever was)
