Agree with all of that too. However,it's a pity that some decent male supporters didn't pick up the idiot who voiced the comment,and thrown him out,and then for the press to cover the story which then allowed the match to continue. If that got the coverage from the media,it would maybe inspire more decent men who understand and respect women and girls to act in a similar manner,and,you never know,might encourage the more mentally challenged among us to think twice before shouting out stupid and ignorant comments.
Completely agree Becs, it's not about the perp and whether they think their comments are acceptable, it's about the victim and how they are affected by the comments.
The might Tulips won 2-0 last night and the news on the touchline re the incident with the ref had no greater detail than the comments on here - I`m sure you`ve all been waiting with hearts in mouth for the news so apologies that I`m unable to shed any light on things...it was bloody cold though and that gave rise (despite the score line) to a few of our number seeking to persuade the ref that his mother was of questionable repute to try and get the match abandoned so we could go somewhere warmer...didn`t work!
