Equally, as the season has only just started, anyone else want to sign up and join us?

Casual bump.

Anyone new to the forum interested in playing an online F1 management game, let us know! In GPRO, you are responsible for hiring and firing drivers, strategy, car set-up, negotiating sponsorship deals, and pretty much everything else a real life team would do. As an online game, you compete against other managers from around the globe, with races run twice a week (although you can prepare for the next race any time between the last race ending and the next one starting). Seasons consist of 17 races, with promotion to more advanced groups for those who are successful.

As a forum, we've been involved in the game for a number of seasons, with all our members with the exception of the recently joined El_B currently competing above the bottom leagues. We're always looking to get more people involved, so if you're interested, sign up (website above in this thread), and let us know, so we can give you access to our private forum and give you a helping hand.

HI Guys,
I'm looking for a place to call home. I been an avid f1 fan for most of my life,
happy to be used as a guinea pig for the rest of this season... never realised that after taking so long to register and get into a league, then giving up and starting another f1 game, alas i came beck and funnily enough my sponsor had abandoned me for afking the first 6 races!!!! Quallied 8th in first race and was running pretty well, up to 3rd until i realised a noob mistake on fuel and by noob i mean not seeing the 1st stop as a pitstop when i expected rain in the first couple of laps, so lost 60L of fuel and compounded with not leaving zero's for further stops, i put a 10L top up incase i had miscalculated... got 5 x 10l pits stops to finish the race....and went from a 2 stopper (3 with early change for wet) to an 8 stopper!!!!!
At least i got a good portion of the season left to learn from my mistakes.
Anyway would love to join a team or happy to just post data here if it will help at all.
:)

Somehow I managed to completely miss this post! Always nice to see someone else playing the game, how's it going for you?

Last race of the season on Friday. Now may be a good time to have a go so you get a "free" practice race before next season. We have a reasonable following on this forum so if you have any questions we'd be happy to help. We can also supply pointers for the whole game if you like <ok>

Yeah, to reinforce that, I think we'd have a reasonable chance of getting you promoted in your first season, certainly in your second.

Yep, time to get on board people! Sign up now and fingers crossed you can compete tonight, or certainly on Friday.

Season 34 is now over.
It is a really good game with so many layers to it, a F1 version of a puzzle :)
If anyone new wants to sign up I strongly advise you to do it before the season reset on the 16th of Feb, a few of us have been playing a while so we can help you clear the basics in no time <ok>

Grand Prix Racing Online is a free web based motor sport management game, where you get to control and influence a team of your own. Starting out with a basic car you can try and win your way through to the top division to become the best manager and win the Elite group title.

Just like in Formula 1 or any motor sports, you will have to work hard in order to be succesful in this management game. There will be many things you have to take care of, like hiring drivers and technical directors, setting up your car for qualification and races, managing staff and facilities, negotiating with sponsors and more besides.

There are 17 races per season, with two races per week, and you can spend as little as an hour per week managing your team. But as with most things, the more you put in, the more you will get out and that extra effort in selecting your driver or setting up your car could be the difference between Promotion and Relegation.

You will be able to watch the races live and enjoy the chat with other managers in your group and other divisions, see how your driver performs in each race, and decide the best race strategy according to your driver stats and weather predictions. You can create teams with your friends or with people from across the world that you have never met before to compete in the teams championship. All this can be done with a simple browser from your home or work at any time! There is nothing to download at all.

GPRO is in continual development, and for that reason we are open to suggestions from our players. This can be done in our extensive forums, or our own internal Private Messaging System. There are always great people online that will read and share your thoughts about mostly anything, there is even a F1 forum!

If you are a big fan of F1 and motor sports, want to be part of a great and friendly community, enjoy discussing F1 races with people around the world, and like manager and multiplayer games, then apply now for free and be part of a fantastic game!

I think we've done reasonably well this season, we had 4 members all comfortably stay up in the amateur leagues (League level 4 of 5), which is still very competitive. I think next season most of us will be pushing for promotion. We've also got plenty of data to help out any newbies.

I scraped 8th, which isn't really good enough for a promotion attempt. Anyone else notice the new liveries are being added? For some reason the Caterham and Marussia were the first.

I had a start line accident :( I was planning on a minor push too. I need to score some points soon as I'm running out of money this season.
