In a somewhat crazy moment, I put together my team. it is as follows: Barry Tiger Remote Blue Sheep Aber Hilts Nin Blue Turk Sparkey Jay BfB Masky Manager- Dai Jones Sub- FfB
Couldn't finish my post. So some notes: I expect to get on fairly quickly. Dai is manager coz he's got a good head on him (based on his posts) and he's carrying injuries that limit his mobility. (this may apply to most of us!)
I'd be quite happy being the sponge man furter, body not what it was after too many years of egg chasing. You've got me in the right sort of position though. When I did play the game I was at the back. Always thought of myself in the Joe Dwyer mould with the same sort of approach, especially the bit about the ball and the man not going past together!
I feel some competition coming here. Maybe there should be a home based team and an overseas team. Ah, that would put furter and taff in the same camp. Does England count as overseas? not sure where I'd fit.
BT is in goal, coz BFB said he's a fatty and I assume he will not be very fast. Aber and Blue Sheep are central destroyers and Sparkey and Blue Turk (new best friends) are the engine room. BfB is up front to keep him well away from BT. Nin and Jay are assumed to be a bit faster than the rest and will be both box to box but expected to use their turn of speed to support the front two.
Taff! Sorry...but you are too far away for home games and we don't expect to play a lot in the Far East. However, you must be a bit active so will be needed (after only three minutes!) as a super-sub.
BFB said he’s a fatty? Used to be a runner, doubt if he’s fat TBH.......mind you he takes the part of two people, so could be! How dare you think he could partner me....too old he is?
BfB said BT's a fatty. A partner for you was always a problem, Masky. And I guess Doris isn't up to it. Also, she's not on 606 to the best of my knowledge.
could I change 2 midfield please>>>>>>>>or have the days of a roy keane type player gone.........no worries if I cant I`ll take one for the team anyways as long as doris takes care of the half time refreshments im in>>>>>>>>>>a half time roast should keep our energy levels up>>>>>>>just a suggestion for our manager Mr DJ please log in to view this image
Can I respectfully suggest you guys submit your examples and we can then have a selection committee. I somehow saw Aber as a central destroyer but a midfield attack breaker works too.
We used to have a not606 team a few years back (quite a few years back!) on here, and If I remember correctly. Bluescull was the Keeper?
Must admit I prefer a rub up to a rub down. BT would make a good keeper in the style of: - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:William_Henry_Foulke.jpg Similar build. Perhaps Masky remembers him. I'm happy to play upfront. Still mobile, no replacements yet, although not as quick as I once was. I should be good for about 10 minutes each half provided the weather is good. Arthritis will play up a bit in cold weather.
Perhaps we should play you up front in the Jay Bothroyd role then. Similar characteristics. DJ, can play the DJ role and turn his back on you while you're sat on your arse. Hey, Jay and Jay, DJ and DJ. That could work.
