Evening folks. Been a fair few years since I posted on here (sometime between O Neills ill fated reign and the crazy few Di Canio months I think) but as I do so it would seem that precious little has changed since I last did so except to see it get progressively worse. I've lost count how many managers we've had or been linked with in the past 3 -4 years and again we find ourselves mid season looking for another one.

Thing is what will really change so long as Short remains the owner? Are we simply doomed or can a new manager at least save us the indignity of another 3rd division visit. Its a very tough job and will we just be repeating this exercise in another 8 months or so anyway?

My head says we are knackered tbh but my heart says it has to be Reidy with a Bally/Phillips backroom staff.

Thoughts!!!!!!
Hi mate nice to see your back.
I feel we will stay in limbo until short goes.
No mater who the manages is we can’t move on

I've not posted for a while either (it's too depressing).

I have it in good authority a deal to sell the club is likely but it's by no means straight forward. It could take some time, if we had stayed up we would now be under new ownership.

As for the manager. Who ****ing knows. I don't know who I want. The smart choice would be to throw a load of money at Big Sam, but that's never going to happen.

Give it to Kevin Ball. He loves the club and won't take any ****. Let's face it he can't be any worse than all the other ****e we have had recently.

We need a shot in the arm but looking to the past for answers rarely seems to work, that worries me, and looks extra embarrassing if it goes wrong. The whole false messiah risk doesn't sit well with me like.

Hard to know what we can do without knowing the standard we could afford.

I would like Pearson with Super Kev backed by bringing on board Ken Ways Sports physiology consultancy. The team behind Leicester's promotion and lead up to the title combined with Kev, one of the best up and coming coaches who's worked under both. Bud doubt we can afford that. Certainly Ken Way would cost us a fortune he's had such success across sport and business.

Think we'll hire another poor manager cause it's all we'll be willing to fund.

That's exactly what I'd pick too in a semi realistic world. Pearson, Phillips and I'll take your word on Way.

Alright cest - nice to see you fella.

You're absolutely right that this ship is sinking fast with Short at the helm!! If we make another appointment it might work for this season and stabilise us in the championship (****ing hell - how sad is it that I want us stabilised not pushing for promotion) but then, come next season, will it all fall apart again.

As @Brian Storm says, there's no way we'll fund an awe inspiring appointment - so we have to hope for luck rather than skill really!!

A bit of nous might also help, so far little sign of it from our hierarchy.

We might, I've just got no confidence we will, price will go up for any decent manager with us, we're a mess, they're going to want a contract that sees them comfortable if their career is destroyed.

If we could just stop destroying careers...

My problem with this is that people remember Reid for his early years and forget what he done in his later years.. I place the origins of our current plight firmly in the hands of Reid, due to his dodgy transfer dealings, paying inflated prices for ****e using only one agent. when we were on the brink of making the big breakthrough..
