Just as with a manager one match is not enough to judge a person - but sounds like a promising start - and I do hope Roo is right and he wants to play it out not hoof it - if that style were to continue my recent worries about SD would diminish

Excellent to see the concerns were misplaced , lets hope we are one side he doesnt get relgated with and he continues an impressive start!

on yesterday's performance i'd be happy to keep him beyond January. MT hasn't cut the mustard this season, and after a great season last season, that's disappointing.

I think Hodson had a good game and he gives us a lot more when pushing forward down the right - he does not just sling the ball in the opposition box and hope it goes near a Watford head...I bet the bloke who sits behind me in The Rookery will be pleased...

Well, looks like a bit of humble pie needed. He was solid, calm, did everything that was needed and played nice balls out rather than hoofing. Also showed a bit of seasoned professional nouse on a couple of occassions to break up attacks that might have had Bennett in trouble. Certainly committed, maybe he's got a point to prove.

Agreed. In addition to that I would say that he seemed to step up and try and organise the defence as well. Something we have been lacking for far too long.

I haven't been around much for the past week, but unexpectedly did hear the game Saturday. From what was said during the commentary NN was very good, shouting at Loach to come, making some well timed tackles and passing the ball out of defence to one of our own players for a nice change.

I will agree that one good performance doesn't make him our saviour, but it shows that he has the ability. His performance does make some of the comments above look very silly, especially when he had not even played five minutes for us. As SD was also criticised for wasting a loan signing I think he helped us to get the three points which cannot be described as wasteful as they could be the ones that we need to stay up come the end of the season.

If we could get Nosworthy on a permanent then I would be quite happy. That is on his first game anyway.......

Someone else said that at the game, until i pointed out that we would then have to drop either Tiny or Maps. I would be hard pressed to choose which!

No way for me im afraid. I would rather drop Doyley than Dickinson. We were all screaming for a genuine left back, but now you are happy to drop him on a whim. Also i think Maps done great at CB and with the captains armband he is a new man.
