Was at the game today. Thought there were excellent performances all over the pitch. The obvious ones were Aarons and Lewis who are becoming outstanding young footballers, but for me personally Stieperman was a bit of a revelation today. Seen him play a lot at left back after he arrived but never seem him start a game in midfield. Apart from his ballooned shot, I thought he was really neat and tidy.
It was a hard game to pick a Man of the Match and the second half particularly was a pleasure to watch.

Whatever is there to exube about ? - One win in six, letting in 2 goals a game on average, a manager (coach) and players who´re proving they´re still incapable of finding their way around this division, and today, up against a side who´re more than likely to end in the top 6. If we manage to only lose 2 - 0, I´ll see that as success.
What about a win then RBF, where does that rank on your level of success matrix?

A thoroughly deserved win (according to the ‘yellow and green’ tinted glasses of the Archant reporters!!) and the stats back that up –

Norwich – 16 shots on goal and 6 on target, 3 blocked
Boro – 8 shots on goal 2 on target and 2 blocked
From the highlights, Krul had a good game and let's hope he is getting back to finding his form.

IF we could pick up a minimum of 5 points in our remaining games this month and progress in the EFL Cup, I'm sure the mood around CR would be greatly enhanced by the time Stoke visit next month.

5 points from the next 3 games would be ok, but if we want to get back on track we really need at least 7. Winning once is great, but we need to consistantly churn out performances if we are to get anywhere in this league. Now is the time, as Gary points out.

I also liked this from one of the comments after that article:

"What City did yesterday was much more akin to the style of play employed by both Fulham and Huddersfield in their promotion campaigns – slick, possession based, passing football, with the onus on transforming from defence to attack at pace."

DF has been striving for this since he arrived, but too often we get part of it right, but slip up elsewhere. Yesterday we pressed high, defended well, controlled the possession but also combined slick passing (86% success rate) with the all important pace, which allowed us to get the ball forward to the wingers and overlapping fullbacks before their defence was ready. The key now is whether we can do this consistently like Fulham and Huddersfield did last season.

A win by a larger margin would not have been unjust to Boro, we were that much better it appears.
I'm astounded by the unanimity of all the reports of Saturday's game -

and DF thanking the fans for getting behind the team - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...fter-middlesbrough-championship-win-1-5698020
I guess the only thing missing is no comments from FML??
As has been mentioned in almost EVERY article - this HAS to be the first step on the climb up the table and we need to push on from here, no going back to the sloppiness etc that we witnessed in the early games.
I realise that we won't always play as we did on Saturday, but IF we can, we should certainly be nearer the top half of the table by Xmas!!!
Edit - I can't post excerpts, as on holiday and only on mobile.
