Shame Boro play Blackpool on toosdy or we could have been 7 points off second place with a win at hapless Charlton - which we'll get if we play like we did today - if one of the top two beats the other.
That's what I'm aiming for, top two finish, I'm not interested in this "we might make play offs" malarkey, for me top six is a given and I will change my username to Alan Brazil's Nuts if we finish outside the play off places. And that's a promise.
SEVENTEEN games to go, 51 points up to grabs to win and lose, that's a hell of a lot of football to go, and if we get on a run now and one of the top two have a bit of a wobble, I honestly believe we can still finish in the automatic spots.
If we can bring Dorrans in next week to play in Wes's role, and if he hits the ground running we can beat anyone in this division, home or away. Our top scorer wasn't even playing today and we still bagged a hatful, how many of the top six could do the same if they picked up injuries to key players as we get towards the business end?
There's more than a third of the season to go, we've had our bad spell, 1p5wich are now embarking upon their's, and there is plenty of time for the unpredictablity of this division to lead to a few more twists and turns before the season ends. You never know, Blackpool could go and beat Boro next week, and they've got to come to Carra Rud yet.
It's going to be a cracking end to the season I reckon, I'd be happy enough with a trip to Wembley in the play offs, but l still have belief we can do better than that.
