That's lovely! Controlled, goals, no silly mistakes. Just what the doctor ordered! And Ippy lost! Shame about the rest above winning.
Annoying Brentford & Watford won (sorry Dave) but we gained on Ipswich & Wolves. Stiĺl lots to do but we brushed the worst team aside .
first on Canary call and he's saying this isn't a positive and we aren't good enough against the top 6! How mis informed can you be!?
Excellent kyle lafferty @LaffK 2m2 minutes ago Buzzing for the lads and coaching staff, specially hoops. Great 3 points.
Watford go to Brentford on Tuesday, so something has to give there. The Binners must have a slipping feeling as they prepare for a tricky match against Sheffield Wednesday. Fingers crossed all around, as Frankie McAvoy would say! please log in to view this image (Great tweet from Laffs as well!).
My comment was slightly tongue in cheek I believe we can beat any of the top 6 but they all just keep on bloody winning apart from our friends Ipswich who seem to be rattled somewhat of late, that 10 point gap can easily be shortened from the top with a little run but Wolves on -3 goals and below shapes the table. Watford Brentford could also be interesting as you say
Fair enough SN23, but as those on Canary Call are telling us, it isn't going to be easy! please log in to view this image
Just got home from the game ad absolutely buzzing. A much better game than against Brentford and all the players really seemed up fpt the game and I thought Grabban had his best game in yellow and green. Just looked at the match stats on the BBC website - 18 shots on goal and 11 on target. IF we can keep that up, we'll certainly be in the play-offs!!!
Agree about Grabban - looked much sharper today. Thought Andreu looked ok in his 30 min spell - had three shots in that time so it bodes welll. To make the day perfect, when I got back to Peterborough station there were a number of Binners fans in the station buffet and they looked as glum as fook.
Just been listening to Canary Call. It's PURE comedy - where do they get those muppets??? I really like the sound of AN in his post match interview.
Alex Neil comes across as a genuinely clever man his interviews are full of common sense and honest opinions. I thought it was interesting in the interview with Hooper when he was asked what has changed since AN was appointed he basically said that AN tells them exactly what role they should be playing and how and they go out and do it. given that at the most basic level that's all manage does it makes you question what adams was doing. I imagine it was a difference in communication styles. The players also seem to be growing in respect for him which is good.
Shame Boro play Blackpool on toosdy or we could have been 7 points off second place with a win at hapless Charlton - which we'll get if we play like we did today - if one of the top two beats the other. That's what I'm aiming for, top two finish, I'm not interested in this "we might make play offs" malarkey, for me top six is a given and I will change my username to Alan Brazil's Nuts if we finish outside the play off places. And that's a promise. SEVENTEEN games to go, 51 points up to grabs to win and lose, that's a hell of a lot of football to go, and if we get on a run now and one of the top two have a bit of a wobble, I honestly believe we can still finish in the automatic spots. If we can bring Dorrans in next week to play in Wes's role, and if he hits the ground running we can beat anyone in this division, home or away. Our top scorer wasn't even playing today and we still bagged a hatful, how many of the top six could do the same if they picked up injuries to key players as we get towards the business end? There's more than a third of the season to go, we've had our bad spell, 1p5wich are now embarking upon their's, and there is plenty of time for the unpredictablity of this division to lead to a few more twists and turns before the season ends. You never know, Blackpool could go and beat Boro next week, and they've got to come to Carra Rud yet. It's going to be a cracking end to the season I reckon, I'd be happy enough with a trip to Wembley in the play offs, but l still have belief we can do better than that.
