Ristac was talking about the english votes.
The numbers are here for you to see ... http://www.electoralcommission.org....u-referendum/electorate-and-count-information
If you're too lazy to tot it all up (call it an educated guess), then allow me to give you some numbers:
Eligible Electorate: 34,582,866
Votes cast (Remain): 13,266,996
Votes cast (Leave): 15,188,466
Turnout: 82% (or put another way, in order to get a 50/50 vote, you'd need to get 66% of the 6,127,464 non-voters voting Remain, & 33% voting Leave - no chance!).
Interestingly, Yorkshire & Humberside voted 58% to Leave (only East & West Midlands voted higher - 59% each). London only voted 40% to Leave. Perhaps you could emigrate there amongst like-minded people if they won't let you in to Spain)
As usual you make my point very well and taking your numbers as accurate.
What is 50%+1 of 34,582,866.
About 17,291,434 isnt it?
Is that more or less than 15,188,466?
