How do Sunderland appoint a manager in double quick time? Yet our ****wit owner who by his own admission said should Bruce have got the England job then we had a contingency to appoint someone quickly - nearly 2 weeks on and still no manager. ****wit an absolute clueless ****wit.

Martinez was the contingency plan and was all lined up after two succesful interviews before being offered the Belgium job at the last minute. Bruce's fart arsing about cost that one.

As I said somewhere on this board, everything involving the Allams is getting blown out of all proportions.

They're not making a knee jerk decision and instead are taking their time to find the right man for the job. With everything that's gone on I find that at least reassuring. They could have given it to Warnock the day Bruce finally decided he was going, would you have taken that?

If you want a petty squabble, you're going to have to do better than thsee piss poor efforts.

If I don't reply to you for a while, it's not that I'm ignoring you, I'm just prioritising.

Blimey. Always given you the benefit of the doubt, but you are a bit strange.

I was making a bit of fun about the Prem amending the fit and proper test due to the Allams. You take it all serious and then imply your posts have gone over my head.

I question that and you post your odd response.

If I don't reply to you, I'm not ignoring you. I just think you're weird...

Just call it a day.

Maybe one of the reasons Sunderland appointed a manager faster than us is because we are the least attractive Premier League club to take on.
  1. We only just managed promotion via the play offs
  2. We are relegation favourites
  3. We are in the middle of a potential take-over (with no guarantee the new owner will want them in charge)
  4. There isn't likely to be much transfer money available from the out-going owners.
  5. The club has a notoriously negative atmosphere with fans and owners at each others throats.
  6. The club might not be sold, meaning more of the same with no prospect of improvement.
People are disappointed managers aren't clawing the door down for the job, but in reality we're lucky to still be looking at decent quality options instead of Warnock, McLaren, Evans etc.

Popular or not there are only 20 possible PL vacancies of which we are the only one. There's beeen stacks of interest and people wanting the job. I'd heard there were loads of applicants which the Allams ignored and went off in pursuit of their own targets.

The ****s

To be honest I haven't read anyone expecting managers to be clawing the doors down how can we with the club in the state it's in, we only know which managers we are looking at through speculation and what the bookies are saying and I think that's just what they are reading. I think 99% of us expect someone like Warnock, McLaren, Evans etc

With all respect you have no proof that " There's been stacks of interest and people wanting the job" or " there were loads of applicants which the Allams ignored "
There has been a lot of decent candidates, but Martinez is the only one who has definitely said no and that's an achievement for a club in our position.

Cannot believe after everything you can still think the sun shines out of the Allam's backsides.

Has Hat's account been hacked :)

Just seen a tweet saying Hull City are finding it difficult negotiating with the Welsh FA. Well why doesn't that surprise me, (sure someone else can copy the tweet on here)

Please stop talking sense....there is no place for that on here !!

Repeat of Mr Hat's post, sorry.

Is there a link for this?

Where does this come from? If true why hasnt he signed anyone?

I hope some of these managers that had interviews come out and say what a **** up twat rehab is .

Phelan can name his price in 7 days. Then if they don't meet it he can and will **** off. He doesn't need us.

Our number one target got offered the Belgium job whereas Moyes had no better offers.

Martinez, if our number one target could have been offered the job 13 days ago.

Marc Wilmots was on £515,000 per year according to a report in June this year. Hard to imagine Martinez was offered much more than that. The Belgium job was a really quick turnaround, I don't therefore believe he was offered the job here. He could have earnt at least double that. You can see what Lukaku thinks of his appointment.

How do you know Moyes had no better offers? Are you his PA?

We probably couldn't afford Martinez wages. If Coleman had wanted the job, he would have made it clear to the Welsh FA that he wanted to be been interviewed and it would have happened by now. We may as well give it to Phelan just so we can start catchup on getting some players through the door
