If Phelan gets the job it will show just how ****ed up things are.

Not because he's not capable or that he shouldn't be given the opportunity.

It will show how ****ed up things are because he could have been appointed when Bruce left and been given a couple of weeks extra to start to sort out the unholy mess our that first team squad is.

As it stands he'll probably have a week.

Joking aside, the new man will obviously ask the owners of their intention to sell or not. At which point Ehab has a decision to make.
Tell him the truth or lie through his back teeth.

If I was the new manager, I'd want cast iron guarantees and a years salary up front.
