I am confused as to why Phelan would want to stay if things are so awfully bad.
I don't doubt things are bad because they are but Phelan seems quite keen to work under Ehab so that in itself seems strange. And it is hardly like Phelan is some unknown coach.
I think he's desperate to be number1, as I've said before always number 2 never number 1.Mike Phelan telling Rh, he'd like a shot at managing city, the major reservation I have with this is, he's been at six clubs since ending his playing days either as first team coach or assistant manager seams strange to me, that at 53 he's never made the step up to manager.(let him of with the Man utd job)

Go on WSAG and ask the questions of people who watch them every week for decades. If the overwhelming answers take your stance then I'll take that as correct.
Martinez had a great time in his first season, but by the end of the third, the desire to see him gone was pretty much universal.
Things went disastrously wrong, I've no idea why, but their Premier League performances in his final season were dire.
They finished 5th in 13/14.
Highest average attendance in 10 years last season.
Can't be too many unhappy fans.
Since his sacking they've just sold their record number of season tickets ever.
As I keep saying, ask about Martinez on WSAG. I havent seen Everton play as much as they have, and same with Wigan who did progressively worse when he took over.
That will partly be down to new owners and the excitement that brings.
I can imagine we'd sell double the amount of passes if we got new owners.
Everton performances largely driven by injuries last season - I know a ST at Wigan and he thought the football under Martinez was excellent.
So are you going on WSAG then?
If we don't appoint Frank de Boer, I'm going back to supporting Liverpool.

No they weren't.
They were driven by a manager who's ****ing clueless in the art of defending.
He's interviewing for your job today I'm told
Go on another site where a handful of fans are in meltdown and having hissy fits? No thanks. It's not a true reflection of opinion of a manager. It'll largely be based on last season which was poor, but driven by injuries. The season before they finished 5th - which is good for a club like Everton.
We finished 11th 2 seasons running, with a squad that was top 6 quality, last season was nothing to do with injuries.
Martinez seems to perform well in his first season at the club when he inherits a group of players. It seems to fall apart when he starts recruitment.
