Everything I see/hear/read about every other owner, makes me appreciate our owners more and more... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29460187
... you say that now... but things can change ... given the cultural influence it may not be that long before we have to adopt a completely different set of terrace anthems: e.g "Singha when you're winiing ..." "When you're thai and weary, your heart may skip a beat ..." ... and god forbid ... "And it's Lecicester Lady-Boys, Leicester Lady-Boys, trans-G ..." ... you just never know
Empty threats, hes going to spend to keep Hull up so he can line his pockets before selling. Didn't he stop Hull going into administration? hes certainly made them a more viable acquisition now for someone to come in and take over, like him or not, hes done the club a huge favour.
It's just his weekly rant, we're rather getting used to them. He never does the things he says he's going to do, he just looks a little more ridiculous each time he comes out with these utterances. Particularly as he doesn't seem to know what his own football club is actually called.
Its all hot air If he is serious about selling why would he keep making negative stories about the club? All its doing is weakening his position as the seller and potentially damaging the club
I remember back in the days when we were having a barney with the Hull lot, them going on about their owner is a local lad that bleeds black and gold and would never betray the club like our flash in the pan owners would undoubtedly do...
It may be hot air and empty threats, but it's an unnecessary distraction for the team. I wouldn't be happy if this was happening at my club.
Don´t think there´s much chance of us becoming Leicester Tigers so no need to worry there. Seriously though I see the fans point but it´s his club & he´s cashed out 70 mil, so it says, so he may have a point too ? How many of you would be pissed off if Top changes our name to Leicester Foxes or back to Leicester Fosse ? I like them both tbh...
Fred Pontin bought a racehorse called Specify which went on to win the 1971 Grand National. He had tried to change its name to Go Pontinental which was his advertising slogan for his european holiday camps but was refused permission by the jockey club. You cant just rename a sporting institution and steal its history unless you are MK Dons
The Jockey Club let some right bloopers through mind ... Julie Cecil (ex-wife of the late Sir Henry..RIP ) trained a couple of corkers 'Mary Hinge' and 'Betty Swallocks'
