Most of the names would have done a better job overall than McCan't.New owners needed to see the back of this manager. Who would be better? God! Who wouldn't. Under new ownership. should that ever happen I'd be delighted to see that nice man Nigel Adkins back. The wheel may well have come off McCan't's wagon now. We'll know better after the Lincoln game. That's for sure.
We used to send new barmaids down to the cellar for a tin of tartan paint to patch up the lounge area. I feel they might be a decent choice at this point.
I once asked a barmaid in Cottingham for beef flavoured pork scratchings. It took her 20 minutes to tell me that they must have run out.
I got myself a job in a restaurant kitchen when I was 18. On my first shift, the chef handed me a ladel. The handle had broken off and he sent me down to reception to get some tape to mend it with. I actually fell for it. The receptionist just rolled her eyes and rang the chef, told him to **** off! You can fall for daft tricks like that when you're a kid. Two weeks later chef gozzed in a customers meal, because he was in a mood. I tipped off the manager who's office was just next door. The manager crept into the kitchen and caught the dirty bastard doing it again. Bye Chef
I doubt he'd get away with 22 players on the pitch, but even if he could, I still wouldn't have confidence in him getting it right.
Been thinking about Foster Grant and what he brings. He needs to take off his blinkered glasses and take a good look in the mirror. Why did he have to put Wilkes into limelight by mentioning his personal problems. He then says it has no influence on his performance. What ! You never hear him take responsibility for any defeats. It’s always the players fault. If this is the case then what’s the point of him. We might as well just have the first team coach Cliff Edge take the fault. The guy always throws players under the wheels to detract from himself. He should be taking the pressure off and not applying it. It was obvious to anyone that when we lost Eaves we needed another forward. The team desperately need a figure head up front. I really don’t see a future for Foster here at all. His ego is just shocking and is holding him back. The buck should stop with him. He is the boss. He needs to start acting like one.
Interesting one Clough as I listen to a couple of football podcasts and any guest that's had him as a manager never has a good word to say about him.
He's mentioned a few times on Undr the Cosh and I Had trials Once. The one that popped into my head was Jordan Stewart who said that his man management was none existent and made players train on their own without any explanation. Also called him a dinosaur with his methods. I guess it could be an exception and the players they get on the podcast could be disruptive pricks and tales of everyone getting along don't make for good listening.
Roberto Di Matteo. Gus Poyet. Danny Cowley. Paul Cook. Oscar Garcia. Gary Johnson. Nigel Pearson. Nigel Adkins. Any of them. Please?
