Where do players like McLoughlin fit in now? Was considered a God during his loan spell with St. Mirren. Rarely makes the bench here at league One level. So how is he to fare in the Championship set-up? Seems a cool-headed defender, still young, but ain't making the team. Also, what is the story with Flores? Left Dundalk where he was guaranteed European football exposure, but other than a single cameo role here, nothing. What future does he hold at Hull City?

It’s always the same old story with football. You take a punt on a player with potential or someone you see as fitting into your set up. Unfortunately it doesn’t always work out. We will be moving half the squad in the summer for lots of different reasons but we will need to strengthen both the forward and back lines. In midfield I think we are looking pretty good.

I think he will head out on loan next season
