It's like liverpoo all over again 3-1 up and we just can't close a game out. Hold them out for 5 minutes after murphys goal and we go on and win. Concede straight away and invite pressure and this what happens. That said 4 minutes of added time and we'd all be saying it was a decent call and good work all concerned. Maybe not Bassong, he got wrong side and gifted their second goal. But that's bass for you.
If you look at the table it doesnt look like a disaster but it sure feels like one.
Let's all pray to the sky pixies for Timm's safe return to the starting XI cause we're f#cked without him.:emoticon-0121-angry

Ah that be some wonerous hindsight there bor!

Bah!
Sorry IFML but that really ****s me off when you scatter gun comment threads predicting doom n gloom or positives then claim you knew what would happen afterwards .
Feel free to keep doing it but it makes my head hurt every time mate.

Please no poems RBF about counting chickens by Dickens etc. :emoticon-0127-lipss

Before the season kicked off, many would have probably earmarked it as our toughest game of the season and there is no question we were outplayed and didn't deserve anything on balance. There is no shame in the result from that perspective, but to be 3 - 1 up with 20 mins to go and end up losing is a sickner however you look at it.

Well, I've just got in from watching Bridget Jones's Baby - hilarious!!!

Can we really blame AN - I'm with the General and say the players should have the determination to be able to have seen the game out and at the VERY least hold on for a point!!!!
I'm sure it was a brilliant game for the neutrals.

Love it! :emoticon-0152-heart You MUGS thought you were going top, but then BOOM a Gayle blew your fanciful dream away! <cracker> Better get used to the bitter taste of disappointment, the days of yo-yo-ing are over!<wizard> The most you can look forward to for the next decade is emulating the perpetual failure of the Binners, before a slide down the leagues commences! Norwich = Nu Coventry!<cheers><cheers>

Aren't Coventry in a league higher than the mighty Tescoes Mike ?

At 3-1 we looked like we were playing the ultimate and rather canny away snatch and grab. But too concede so quickly and 3 in the last 20 odd minutes is just laughable. The more capitulations like this you see the more you realise that our biggest problem is between the ears! That and maybe fitness, too often on the back foot at the end of games.

Just read the match report on the EDP website and seems like we were pretty overrun at times.
Yes, it would have been ideal to have signed another striker, but IMO the MOST important signing is another decent CB and THAT has to be the top priority.
How did Bassong play???

I am beginning to think that AN is not that intelligent. His repeated failure to learn from his mistakes seems to show a stubboness that will cost us this season.

I'm not sure I agree. He set us up more defensively than last time we visited and got thrashed. When leading he brought on a defensive player not took one off. He surely knows Bass is not the answer but with Klose out he had little option. He wanted that young CB remember but rightly prioritised a striker. Again for me a board failing, not necessarily him.

Bah!

I'm going to watch this in its entirety to take the mind numbing sense of doom from my brain.

Weren't we the same the last time we played midweek - perhaps he should have selected the 11 who beat Everton last week!!!!

Don't agree. If we are signing another CB the priority is right side to partner Timm.
Bass is probably good enough backup against most teams in this division but newcs are as tough as it will get. He was **** again today but not the only one. Think it was Bennett who lost the header as the came again for their winner.

Bah!

I don't see how you can blame this one on AN, Gambia. We had 3 CBs on and still couldn't stop them scoring.
We took Jacob off our young live wire.
Yes bringing on a fresh centre back was a good idea but maybe to replace one of the two that failed spectacularly last season .
Bassong maybe ?

I would have rather watched the entire Bridget Jones box set whilst yanking my toe nails out with pliers than endure another 90 minutes of radio Norfolk.

OK General, thanks for that and Bennett hadn't long been on the pitch, so can't use fitness as an excuse.
Just read the match report on the BBC - Nukes 22 shots on goal and 9 on target
NCFC 7 shots on goal and 5 on target. Our fitness must be suspect as the General says, as when we played Wigan, our players were really tiring towards the end.
I'll catch up in the morning.
