Afternoon guys,

Due to extenuating circumstances I will not be submitting a Match Day Thread this evening or indeed for the foreseeable future.
I will also not be posting as much as usual (although this will probably please a few!)

Sorry, KIO

Some things are far more important than football Rich, keep in touch and come back when you're ready.

I wish you all the very best my friend! <ok> <hug>

Hope everything is ok buddy. Thinking of you at this time and wishing you all the best.

Well, as KIO is unfortunately unable to post his usual excellent MDT, I'll do one for tonight, though I'm actually at the cinema for the actual game!!! <doh>

Lest's hope the magpies don't 'steal' all 3 points tonight.

Hope you don't mind KIO, but I've done a 'minimalist' MTD.
Good Luck and Best Wishes. Hope to see you back posting when things have improved. <hug>

Hope you don't mind KIO and B/H.
I've merged the two to avoid any possible confusion <ok>

Good idea Cromer and thanks.

Just read this on the EDP website - "So nine games in, Norwich have earned the chance to go seven points clear of Rafa Benitez’s pre-season favourites despite having scarcely hit top form. City may currently sit top of the pile, but it’s the outcome of these two demanding away fixtures that will give us a much better idea of their promotion credentials."
A very fair article and you can read it in full here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/features/nor...ue_believers_but_bigger_tests_await_1_4713655

Over many years, KIO, we have disagreed on many issues but have never fallen out or resorted to abuse. I do not know what you are going through but I really really really really hope you come out as well as you hope you will. Keep your chin up my friend.

Tettey in suggests a more defensive midfield but who is going to open up Newcastle defence? Is AN relying on Brady and Murphy to make opening from the wings or is it Howson in the Hoolahan role?

I have no idea what the gaffer is thinking, unless Bassong, post his cup showing has been absolutely frothing at the mouth, champing at the bit and all the rest of it for a go at the Toon after his last game against them?
BTW KIO, OTBC!

Bassong is a left-footed CB. Klose can also play effectively on the left side, but he's not available. Neither Martin or Bennett are comfortable on the left (square pegs in round holes and all that). Grant Holt saw the sense of this talking on the commentary.

Thanks RER, I get slightly emotional when Bassong is picked and lose my bearings a bit.
