It should probably be easier in that respect for a team that's gone straight back down to do well than for an established PL team though (financial meltdowns aside). If a team gets promoted then by the end of the next season they've probably still got the majority of the side that got them promoted at the club, so when they go down they've got a good nucleus of players that know exactly what they need to do to get promoted, and aren't thinking they're too good to be in that division because they know how hard they had to work to get up before. If an established team goes down, like Fulham, then they've replaced almost everyone that was at the club when they were last in the Championship. Even bringing players in to replace those that inevitably leave, you've still got more of a challenge with the mentality and team element of it even though you've probably got "better" players available.
Nigel Pearson remains manager Hip hip hip hooray Nigel Pearson remains manager And he's coming out to play. Don't know why but I just felt the need to do that when I read the title of the thread
So I´ve read Vichia sacked him & Aiyawatt (who´s a massive fan of NP) pleaded with his old man to have him reinstated. So, lets say, he stays till the end of the season & we get relegated, then what ? Vichia wants him out & Aiyawatt tells him "he´s the man to get us back up" It´s like two snakes sucking each others tail.
Teams such as ours have to accept relegation as part of the deal.Had Hull managed to hang on another two minutes ar Citeh the bottom three would now comprise the three promoted clubs. Indeed given tonight's fixtures that may well be the case by bedtime. Given the shekelage involved most Champiuonship clubs would settle for a couple of seasons a decade.I must say,as a neutral,I don't see much point sacking Pearson, frying pan to fire IMHO.
Henry Winter @henrywinter Pearson receives letter from FA reminding him of responsibilities after McArthur grapple but no disciplinary action. #lcfc
Could be worse. At least we don't have to put up with old "throw the toys out of the pram" Mourinho week in, week out. Actually, it's more like every day. What an embarrassment he would be, even if he untrousered the money to buy us several hundred million quids worth of players. If we ever got him, I'd sooner support the sheep.
