A very reliable source from the smb has broke the news about Bothroyd arriving for talks before next Tuesday. He also says 2 more will be here at some point next week although he doesn't know who they are but 1 of them is a Bosman and the other involves a fee. Watch this space lads, things may start moving very quickly

To be honest Bothroyd does not excite me at all. He's 29 and never been taken on properly by a premier league club and has only come to prominence in the last two seasons in the championship. If he's coming as a squad player, then fine, but other than that I'm not jumping up and down. Larsson will be decent, and has a good cross on him. I think he'll be the free. But I am excited by the unknown purchase.

can't remember his username but he's posted things on there before on transfers and he's been proven right. I also think it's wher big chris gets his team news from on matchdays haha

i'm not a big fan of Bothroyd either but he's on a free so what have we got to lose? Can't see him being in our starting line up but a decent striker coming off the bench

I think people are underestimating Bothroyd.

He's strong, good in the air, puts the graft in and is a half decent finisher.

I agree he'd not be first choice, but he will be a very good signing, for nowt.

We're going to get into yewrope next year the way this is going. Swansea is on the continent right?

didn't we put a bid in for him in January but were put off by the asking price?

Most people believe that it was Fuller, but the club always denied this at the time. SB did admit recently that he pulled the plug on a deal for a striker in January, was it Bothroyd? Possibly!

After all, he would have known that 5 months later he could get him for nothing.
