I would worry about people being so daft as to think we are Barnet. Do Newcastle fans worry people will think they are Grimsby?
It's growing on me, my first impression I wasn't sure, but now it's starting to look quite appealing.
You can see where that idea of white came from. please log in to view this image If only we could fill West Upper, the stand so high and steep it’s dangerous to stand up in, with some of their fans. These scenes are them before the game.
Looks ok to me I’m a fan of stripes otherwise the nickname makes no sense. (claw marks and actual tiger striping aside) As I never buy them I’m probably not the best judge though, and certainly not the target market, but I’d happily stay with stripes every year. I’d have preferred a ‘The’ adding to the back before ‘Tigers’ mind you…
I like it. No claw slashes, no Bet Lynch tiger prints and no Power Rangers shoulder pads. Stripes. Classic. As it should be.
It was a jokey reference to how black and amber stripes wouldn’t necessarily bring us to mind in the wider footballing community. I’m personally of the opinion that virtually any football fan would identify this shirt as ours from 50 yards away.
I'll wait until I see it in the flesh, so to speak. Last seasons third kit was hyped up big time, but when I actually saw it I wasn't that fussed over it. That said the last City shirt I bought for myself had Arrow Air as the sponsor!
